Why Clean a Roof?

Over time, Gloecapsa Magma bacteria breaks down the singles by feeding on the limestone granules embedded in the shingles. This damage to shingles causes premature aging, rotting and granule loss which in turn drastically shortens the life of the roof.

Moss growing on roofs is another destructive living organism. Moss growing on roofs derives its nutrients by decomposing the roof shingles. Similar to the Gloecapsa Magma bacteria, moss growth on roofs greatly shortens the life of the roof.
